Ambassador

Born in 1953, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade in 1977, specializing in International Relations and Foreign Policy.

He has spent almost his entire career in public administration. He also served as Assistant Minister of Information and later as Deputy State Secretary.

In the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, he held the positions of Deputy Secretary of the Assembly and Chief of Staff to both the President of the Assembly and the President of the Republic.

He served as Secretary General to the President of the Republic, then as Director of the Security Information Agency (BIA) until 2013, and was a member of the Government and Minister of Defense until April 2014.

Since 2000, he has been a permanent employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding the diplomatic rank of Ambassador. From 2014 to 2018, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Azerbaijan. From September 2018 to September 2023, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Austria.

He speaks French and English.

He is the co-author of the book All Governments of Serbia from 1804 to 2004.
